Just went shopping during lunch...such a nice perk up to an otherwise boring work day. We were all fired up in the morning leading up to lunch and now we just feel dreary and blah. But it was fabulous while it lasted :)
Ok... the movie Da Vinci Code. It was entertaining and pretty interesting for someone who didn't read the book, all 2.5 hours of it. Audrey Tautou is a babe, Tom Hanks is too old and pudgy for leading man status and Ian McKellen was highly entertaining. For someone unfamiliar with the entire premise (and the theories the book is based on have been in existence for quite some time already), the movie does throw many pretentious sounding terms and references at you and you'll be wondering "what the *beep* is a Fibonacci sequence??!" Personally, the whole story seems too loopy to be real...it's like written high on crack or something (reminds me of Sri and his dot theory :)) If someone allows the story to affect his religious faith, then what faith was there to begin with? Watch it like how you would watch any other movie, with a great companion, a coke-and-popcorn set, and a suspension of belief, and it will be fun :)
Meeting self-proclaimed glut estherio for dinner later...wonder where she has in mind for dinner. how fun, she'll pig out and remain stick-thin whilst my butt continues its quest to out-do J.Lo's...
